The Power of Zorro
Well I returned home from Las Vegas yesterday morning after the red-eye flight Thursday night (left 11:20pm and arrived in Atlanta at 7am).
After a much needed nap, Jeff and I reconnected a little and did some yard work and had a nice dinner out and about.
Today, Jeff decided to power wash the deck. So we rented a 3500 psi unit from Home Depot and he washed away at least 10 years of dirt, grime, and algae. Man was it gross! And apparently 3500 psi can be a little too powerful for a deck, thus the slight "Z"s across a few boards. And the humming of the sander which I am listening to.

lounging by the pool and swimming all morning - by working (boo) but
am extremely displeased with the internet at my hotel. it worked long
enough for me to pay my $12.99 and hasn't worked since. My thumbs are

Vegas baby
Well, I have spend the last 2 evenings at home and it is apparently too much, because my bags are packed and I am ready to go again!
I leave in about a half hour for the airport to meet my girlfriends for a Vegas weekend!!!! We are lounging, shopping, people-watching, and seeing a couple shows from today through Sunday. Then I hang out for a couple days waiting for work to start up in Las Vegas on Tuesday until Friday next week.

Home for a few hours
I am home from Philly! What a whirlwind trip - we saw 13 hotels in 2.5 days and also managed to walk around the city and get the lay of the land a little. I am definitely going back to see the Liberty Bell. But like my pilot said, no rush, it will still be cracked when I get around to seeing it.
We are experimenting with a Cat Genie. It is a kitty box that is piped into a water source so it self-washes everyday and no more scooping! Maddie has taken to it right away, but our little skittish, scaredy cat Bella doesn't want anything to do with it. So she is currently locked away in laundry room, Flowers in the Attic style, until she sees the light.
Other than that, not much else happening! I am glad my girl Shawn Johnson won Dancing with the Stars and I hope Adam wins Idol tonight.

Toronto and Baltimore
I was in Toronto last week - yes on my birthday - and it was great! We were treated to a 4 course dinner at our host hotel and my room had a fantastic view of something that's just like the Space Needle in Seattle.
Last night I got back from Baltimore, and what a great city! Every place I go, I want to go back to and visit. We had another fabulous meal at our host hotel where the chef came out and introduced each course and why the elements were chosen.
But, back to the office life for 2 days. But only 2 days.

Weekend Checklist
Arrived home from Toronto. Check. (But just barely.)
Slept in past 9am. Check.
Weekly trip to home improvement store (Lowe's). Check.
Weekly trip to Target. Check.
Nap with HGTV in the background. Check.
Installed bird feeder on deck. Check.
Trimmed front hedges. Check.
Cleaned up trimming mess. Check.
Planted petunias. Check.
Hauled 4 wheelbarrows of compost from the backyard to revive stressed magnolia. Check.
Sopping wet from sweat due to humidity in Georgia. Check!
