WOOT! Check this out ~ it's my new "thang", in congratulations to myself of taking the job with Delta. Actually, Jeff surprised me with it as a congratulations...anyway, I have gifted the old ugly black Zune to charity (Jeff). Now we both have entertainment during our plane trips!!!!!
Mine is already full of podcasts - including Midmorning with Kerri Miller, Speaking of Faith with Krista Tippett, A Prairie Home Companion, Money Girl's Quick and Dirty Guide to Finances, Fresh Air, NPR's The Color of Money, and This American Life.
Also I have these music albums - Lonestar's 16 Biggest Hits, Carrie Underwood, Britney (Circus = awesome), The Corrs Unplugged, Daughtry, David Cook, Delta Goodrem, Fergie, Dixie Chicks' Essentials, Taylor Swift, Pink, JT (OF COURSE), Rihanna, Beyonce, Joss Stone, Jordin Sparks, Death Cab for Cutie, TI, Natasha Bedingfield, Paramore, Duffy, Maroon 5, Leona Lewis, Coldplay, Jason Mraz...
What do you-all listen to for podcasts and music? Any new tunes that are MUST HAVES for you?

Well... the Mamma Mia soundtrack is awesome... the movie is great to which includes a sing along (too fun after lots of wine!). AND... I think The Fray just came out with a new song... waiting for more music... loved their intro album! Thanks for the list of podcasts!
P.S. I did a marketing comparison of zune versus ipod for an MBA class... thoughts?
I really like the Zune, and I like the Zune software much better than iTunes. My #1 reason for the Zune purchase (instead of iPod) was for the FM radio feature - I listen to MPR all the time. And I am not an Apple hater, but I believe in healthy competition and the zune is cheaper for more features and power.
My favorite podcasts are Science Friday, Speaking of Faith, "Wait, Wait, Don't tell Me","Weekend America" (very sad that today was its last broadcast), and a couple of obscure British word quizzes (that you can occasionally hear on Wisconsin Public Radio). I'm usually home to hear all the other stuff.
What I'm listening to right now? A little Madeline Peyroux and the Soundtrack from Once. Also have some Aarvo Part that is thrilling my..."De Profundis". I am feeling that because it feels like we ARE coming out of the depths...of winter, at least. I really wish I could find the download for the "Air and Simple Gifts" that YoYo, Itzak, et al played (yes, I know....pre-recorded, fingersyncying, whatever...it was cold) at Obama's inaguration. I know alot of critics are calling it derivative especially since it directly quoted Copland's Appalachian Spring, but get over it...music is derivative. The beauty is how John Williams used those phrases (which were derived from the Quaker folk hymn, mind you....did Copland get this much grief?) to create something of this time and place and mood. It moved me. If you can find it somewhere for download (not the YouTube version), let me know.
