OK, without going into too many details, I just have to let you all know - my new job, not exactly what I thought it was going to be.
Here are the differences~
- Travel. Possibly required 30-50% of the time. I thought it was more like 20-30%.
- Availability. Possibly required to be available 24/7 via Blackberry for operational emergencies. I was not aware this was part of it, I thought it was handled by an outside group...
- Job scope. Possibly little to no process improvement at first, with a minimum increase in activity after a few months. I thought it was more like 50/50 or 60/40.
So, hm. Still going to Atlanta, but it is not quite as rosy.
