Our friend Heidi got married this weekend!
We would not have missed their wedding and celebration for the world, so we made sure we got to Minneapolis early on Friday. We spent the day in a rental car - breakfast at Brueggers (mmm...I could really go for a bagel right now), visiting friends at our favorite fish stores, staking out our old house and apartment, lunch at Pino's (best pizza around), naps, and catching up with old friends in the evening. What a trip down memory lane!
On Saturday, it was pouring and cloudy...but the sun came out just in time for the wedding and reception! Our group had 'quite a showing' for being so many years removed from college...Kansas City, Tucson, Peoria, Apple Valley, Atlanta...what a great reunion.
The ceremony was beautiful for the words they said and the promises they made - I don't think I have seen two more seriously committed, or happier, people.
And...best use of Hallelujah Chorus ever as they walked down the aisle.
Best wishes for a long and happy life!!!
